The Invisible War
Synopsis
2012 | Cinedigm, Docurama Films
The Invisible War is a shocking investigative report on the epidemic of rape amongst soldiers within the U.S. Military. Through the painful retellings of assault by veterans from multiple branches of the Armed Forces, the film shows that not only does the military fail to adequately respond to reports, but often retaliates against the victim rather than the perpetrators, resulting in the forced expulsion of survivors from service. Interviews with survivors, advocates, journalists, and members of the military justice system come together to highlight the need for change in the military’s handling of sexual assault.
